Archive of Dreams- Perspective Series
Project Team:
Led by: Professor Elisabetta Terragni
Collaborated with Ina Dajci
Year/Semester: Semester VIII /2018
Project Summary: A series of projects that analyzes illusions, perspectives, deception, and obstructions of reality; “Perspective Device,” “The Room of Infinity,” “The Holiday,” and “Archive of Dreams.” “Archive of Dreams,” the final project of the series, collects, sorts, categorizes, arranges, and documents 100 Architects’ Dreams by name, number received, color and theme, mimicking the surveillance process and all-controlling methods of the dictatorship in “Palace of Dreams,” Ismail Kadare’s 1981 novel, and it’s direct correlation with the history of Albania. “Archive of Dreams.” “Archive of Dreams” was a very thoughtful and mutually collaborative project from the initial phases to the complete design, and was very successful from both of our collaborative efforts.
PollaTopia
Project Team:
Led by: Professor Bradley Horn
Year/Semester: Semester VII /2017
Project Summary: An individual project to repurpose the last surviving active Shaker Village as a Utopian society. I was inspired by the original and raw forms of the previous Shaker Villages, and the Greek origins of the Utopian themes. I analyzed all Shaker Villages, believed them to be of one city, and sought to preserve the fourteen “untouched” buildings by relocating them on the Sabbathday Lake site, creating a “Shaker City.” PolyTopia serves as an interactive Shaker community-museum.
Forest Floors: Intervention of The Tama Art Library, Tokyo
Project Team:
Led by: Professor Athanasios Haritos
Year/Semester: Semester III / 2015
Project Summary: An architectural precedent study on the Tama Art Library in Tokyo, collaborated with Carme Azor, and an individual design to intervene on the existing library. I analyzed Tama’s interior intersecting arches and Tyos Ito’s sketches and I concluded to push Ito’s “forest” concept stronger by extending the flow of the arches into the floors. The movement of the floor slabs depended on the function of the area, and was able to be used as chairs for those programs. A forest. A place of meditation, of inspiration. A place of learning. A library; Tama.
The Bridge
Project Team:
Led by: Professor Fabian Llonch
Year/Semester: Semester V / 2016
Project Summary: A multi-purpose design proposal for the lawn in between the Spitzer School of Architecture to Aaron Davis Hall Theatre Schools of City College of New York, connecting the students of the two schools with a semi-public space for sitting, eating, acting, performing, studying and walking. The design takes a similar shape that turns into a canopy, a bench, and a stage, bridging the gap, physically and metaphorically, on the lawn between the architecture schools of architecture and theater.

Memory’s Path
Project Team: Led by: Professor Suzan WinesYear/Semester: Semester II /2015Project Summary: An individual project to analyze Marcel Duchamp’s Box-in-a-Suitcase to and to create a memory box inspired by the concepts. I focused on the dictionary translation of the word “memory”, and created forms for the meaning of the word to see how memory would look like when retrieved. The outcome of the memory would be seen in a series of shadows, as light represents the memory itself. Depending on the “perspective” screens and how the memory was “stored”, memory took form in a series of different shadows and shapes. This project was chosen for City Works, a book published annually for CCNY and the public, documenting exceptional student work.
Foldaway Plaza
Project Team:
Led by: Professor Fabian Llonch
Year/Semester: Semester I /2014
Project Summary: Inspired by Olafur Eliasson’s project “Ice Watch” for global warming awareness, this interactive plaza disappears with time.
Traveling Art Exchange: Art Train Program Design in Water Mill, NY
Project Team:
Led by: Professor Suzan Wines
Year/Semester: Semester II /2015
Project Summary: An individual project to design an art train that encourages an exchange of ideas between artists- beginners and experts- that is limited by space, train routes, and train dimensions. I manipulated the space to create a constant exchange of ideas between the beginners in the gallery level, and the experts in the upper studio level. Being that the dividing floor between the two spaces was glass, the artists in the studio level are able to easily overlay their work with the floor below for inspiration. The floor below displays the beginner’s work on the absorbent sheet that captures footprints and drawings on the gallery floor. The beginners at work at the gallery level can sit in the bench embedded in the floor, look up to see some of the expert’s at work for motivation and inspiration, and draw on the floor’s absorbent sheet. The combination of both arts would later become the new window design. This project was chosen for CityWorks.
